MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy is aimed at normalizing joint and/or movement limitations. These limitations are detected through provocation and function tests (muscle tests, neurological tests, coordination tests). The manual therapist uses manipulations, mobilizations, neurogenic mobilizations, stretching techniques, harmonic techniques, medical exercise therapy,... .

Patients who suffer from acute back and neck complaints, radiation complaints in the leg or arm, headache, posture-related complaints, ear pain, radiation pain from muscles can visit one of our manual therapists.

POST-OPERATIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY

An individual treatment plan is drawn up after surgery. This can be a combination of manual therapy and exercise therapy based on the deficits that may be present after surgery. This is built up step by step to achieve your personal goal. This is done in consultation with you and the surgeon.

MYOFASCIAL THERAPY

Myofascial therapy is the treatment of pain caused by trigger points (muscle nodes).
These points are painful and hardened knots in muscles. They are created by  muscle malfunction. Trigger points can give a local pain and also a radiating pain. To treat trigger points, we use different techniques such as manual pressure, massage, dry needling and stretching.

SPORT REHABILITATION

Sports rehabilitation is an important specialization within our practice. After a thorough analysis and screening of the patient, we try to find a treatment plan that is suitable for you. After an initial phase of pain management and optimizing your motor control, we then pay a lot of attention to improving your strength endurance and coordination. At the end of your rehabilitation, the aim is to train as functionally as possible so that you can resume your sports activities as before the injury. During your rehabilitation, the sport-specific aspects on the one hand and your personal goals on the other are always taken into account.

With injury prevention we want to prevent you from sustaining certain injuries during your sports activity. We try to do this by subjecting you to an extensive screening. We will then try to eliminate the risk factors that we obtain from this screening on the basis of a training schedule that is tailor-made for you.

TAPING

In our practice you can go for both sports taping and kinesio taping. The purpose of taping can be preventive, support or can also be used as an aid during (exercise) therapy. In addition, with kinesiotaping we can also make subcutaneous bleeding or fluid drain faster. Your therapist will examine with you whether the use of a tape can offer added value for your complaints.
Examples where we often use a tape are: unstable ankles, muscle tears / strains, edema after trauma, neck and back complaints, ...
